New band bio!

 The Dance Cancer
There have been many amazing Musical talents to sprout from the Northeastern region of America, but it has been long overdue that a band that could meld the calm sound of the Blues, in your face vibe of Punk Rock, and the live jumpy electric rhythm of classic Rock ‘N’ Roll. One group has decided to rise against the conformity of today’s alternative rock genre and legitimately write music that comes from the heart. Though not the run of the mill bunch, one would be humbled to meet them; you couldn’t find a more down to Earth group of guys.
It all started with Guitarist/Singer/Song Writer, Tom O’Mara, back in 2009, when he and Brothers Ethan and Noah Kirkman teamed up to form The Dance Cancer. They had all originally been part of a tribute band, Gunners & Goose, along with Christopher Ward, after a good friend of theirs had come to pass. After given much thought and effort, with Tom on Lead Guitar/Lead Vocals, Noah on Guitar/Vocals, and Ethan on Bass, they decided to pick up and form The Dance Cancer.
This story began in a small city in Western Massachusetts out of a dream and common passion of playing music. In a world plagued by “Cover” and “Jam Bands”, The Dance Cancer have come to show that there are still people in the world that don’t need an image to portray what they are trying to sell. Their inspiration comes from music of all sorts but with nearly half a century worth of musical experience between the three of them, a list of those inspirations is as abstract and as unique as each of the three members.
These guys have played up and down the East Coast, across the Midwest, and out to lovely California in some of the most famous venues, such as Whiskey & A Go-Go, and some of your less popular, local bars, but never failed to move a crowd. The feel good vibe of the band is sure to get a room dancing until there’s no stop. Every time these guys hit the stage it’s as though they are literally making love to their instruments, and the sound, dictates the same thing. With astounding groove, compelling lyrics, and live showmanship, it would give any true fan of music pleasure to give a listen. Just make a stop at any one of their shows; it’s a guarantee that you will like what you find.
